April 2007: The STEREO pair of satellites are sending back simultaneous images from the leading and trailing space-craft. Obviously this provides much better 3D than SOHO and from now on solar 3D images will come from there and this page is historic!

What the EIT images are all about
Computer processing of raw EIT data (FITS). The author does not do this - it is very complex. I depend on the GIF files prepared by the EIT team, using the SSW package written in IDL. If you do not understand that, you are not alone!
