| Drymoanthus adversus
Is an endemic epiphyte and has about ten 5mm wide, purple blotched flowers on a single stem beneath the leathery leaves in October in the north to December in the south. It clings to a range of host trees where its wide spread of white roots on the bark show clearly. This is a tetraploid with 2n=76 chromosomes. Its more southerly relative, D. flavus with the spotted leaves is a diploid with 2n=38 chromosomes. |
