Aporostylis bifolia ±15mm across, found from Te Moehau to Stewart Id. in montane to subalpine damp to swampy scrub and in Corsican pine plantations (Pinus nigra), varies considerably in its array of yellow and brown spots, labellum width, disc calli and bract sizes.
It usually has two reddish hairy leaves but the alba form has all green leaves and no dark stripes on the backs of the tepals.
This specimen is from swampy tea tree at Horopito on 3/1/97.
