| Whitebait about to be poured into the bucket. Whitebait are larval fresh-water fish which have proved elusive this year (2000) (Fishing was slightly better 2001). This chap took all day to catch enough for one fritter, but his mates nearby caught none. The usually good West Coast Rivers (to be shown later) did even worse in 2000. | |
