A quick tour in seven days.

Many visitors allow only a week traveling New Zealand's South Island. So what is possible in such a short time?

NZPhoto rented a car and packed a digital camera in Spring 2000 to find out.

Starting at Christchurch International Airport, through Arthur's Pass to the West Coast, down past the glaciers and mighty Mount Tasman, across Haast Pass to Arrowtown, then to Oamaru and back to Christchurch.

You could see more, but this was a relaxed journey with plenty of time for photographs.
